If you have high cholesterol, you are also at higher risk for cardiovascular disease. But the good news is that this is a risk you can control. You can lower your cholesterol, "bad" LDL and raise your "good" cholesterol is the HDL. You just have to make a few simple changes.

You still may need to take medicine to get your cholesterol levels back on track. But if you make a few small changes, you may be able to reduce the dose and the probability of side effects.
